Dawn White Joins Hopscotch as  Forest School and Development Lead


We're excited to announce the appointment of Dawn White as our new Forest School & Outdoor Development Lead. Dawn will work with all our settings to explore how each site can utilise and develop its outside space to create even more learning opportunities for our children. 

​The ethos of Forest School is based on a fundamental respect for children and young people and their capacity to instigate, test, and maintain curiosity in the world around them. This resonates so much with our core values for allowing children to explore and learn through play, so this presents an exciting opportunity for us and our children. 

Freya Derrick, MD of Hopscotch Day Nurseries, comments: "Dawn has over ten years of Forest School experience, and we are so excited to have her as a part of our team. We're passionate about continually developing and expanding the opportunities for our children to learn and explore, as well as inspiring new ways to engage children with nature and the outdoors. I'm very excited to have Dawn's experience creating amazing outdoor learning areas for our children in each setting. Each Hopscotch nursery is unique, so it will be great to see the different ways we can bring the Forest School ideology and ethos into our different settings across Hampshire."
