Who are we?
Hopscotch Day Nurseries first opened in Gosport in 2005, and nearly twenty five years later has grown to become one of the leading nursery groups on the South Coast. Today we have over 1,200 children on our register across eight operating settings, and we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved across the group.
All of our nursery settings are located in southern Hampshire, covering the area between Southampton and Portsmouth. As of December 2023 we have settings in Boltey, Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Lee on the Solent, Portswood, Regents Park and Titchfield, and we are continuing to expand in and around these areas, with an exciting new opportunity in Sholing due to open in Summer 2024.
Everyone at Hopscotch is not only passionate about children, but are committed to providing outstanding childcare throughout the group. We value and support our team members, from those that join us as Apprentices, right through to our Senior Leadership Team, and we work hard to provide the very best environment for our team members to develop and succeed on their journey with us. All of our staff are able to grow and develop through both internal and external training, mentoring and promotion.
Roles at Hopscotch Day Nurseries include Apprenticeships, Level 2 to 6 Practitioners, Senior Practitioner, Room Leader, Deputy Manager, Manager and roles in our support functions including HR, Finance, Operations, Safeguarding, IT, Catering, Maintenance and Early Years Development.
When you work for Hopscotch you are part of a team that is passionate about the quality care we provide our children and parents, so if that sounds like you, contact us today to join the Hopscotch Family.

Working at Hopscotch
Our Head of People & Training started with us in 2007 as an Apprentice, so we asked her about her journey so far...
“The family approach has always been a critical pillar that makes Hopscotch stand out. Our team is always coming up with new ideas and ways to enrich our nurseries for the children, so we never stand still for long. I think this is what makes us stand out. We have a passionate team, who genuinely love what they do, and this comes across in the care our children receive. Our success metric is 'Are our children happy and thriving?' which, if we can answer ‘Yes!’ means we have done an excellent job.
Hopscotch’s belief in me, and the passion for creating enriching environments for our children to thrive in, is what has kept me at here all these years. I have always set out to make a difference to all who join us, providing them with the best support and encouragement, which mirrors what I have always received from my line managers at Hopscotch."
