Hopscotch Day Nursery The Avenue

Hello, I am Sophie and I’m going to be assisting the team at The Avenue Nursery as we welcome it to our Hopscotch family.

I joined Hopscotch in 2007 while studying at college. I very quickly found my own beliefs fell in line with Hopscotch’s ethos and begun my journey as a Nursery practitioner at our Titchfield setting. After some time away travelling, I came back to Hopscotch. For 5 years I was based at our biggest setting in Botley as the Deputy Manager and gaining my Level 5 in Leadership and Management of the Early Years meant I was ready to take on a new setting!

I joined the Integration Team in November, when we acquired a small chain of nurseries in Southampton. I am really enjoying this new challenge, supporting the teams in getting to know the Hopscotch values and developing their practice to the high standards of care that we provide at Hopscotch. I will be working closely with the nursery team, together we share the same goals about delivering the highest quality of childcare.

Situated between Southampton and Portsmouth and with easy access to the M27 it is ideally suited to parents living in Fareham, Locks Heath, Park Gate, Stubbington, Titchfield and surrounding areas. We offer a rich environment with age-appropriate resources which are accessible in a continuous provision style. In a built up, residential area, the nursery offers a countryside setting the children can enjoy.

We know how important it is to feel completely comfortable leaving your child on the first day and my team and I will work closely with you to help that first day back at work run as smoothly as possible!
